But before you get too excited, we have some bad news: as of now, there are no official plans for a Naruto remake.

The anime world is constantly changing and evolving, so who knows what the future holds for our favorite ninja? In the meantime, we’ll have to content ourselves with re-watching the original series and enjoying all the new Naruto content being released, like Boruto and the recent live-action movie.

Masashi Kishimoto & Naruto

Born: November 8, 1974, Nagi, Okayama, Japan
Siblings: Seishi Kishimoto
Video game: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja
Influenced by: Akira Toriyama, Katsuhiro Otomo, Hiroaki Samura

Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the worldwide phenomenon known as Naruto, has been a household name for manga and anime fans since his series first debuted in 1999.  ( I thank him for this all the time!  Still one of my favorites. )

But before becoming the world-renowned mangaka he is today, Kishimoto planned on becoming a car mechanic. When he read Dragon Ball, he discovered his true passion for creating manga.

After submitting various one-shots to Shonen Jump magazine, Masashi Kishimoto succeeded with his fourth submission: Naruto.

The series follows the titular character’s journey as he strives to become his village’s Hokage, or leader while dealing with the dark powers within him.

Kishimoto’s attention to detail and complex character development quickly gained the series a massive fanbase, leading to its anime adaptation in 2002 and eventual conclusion in 2014.

Since then, Masashi Kishimoto has worked on other projects such as the manga series Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru and the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations sequel anime.

We can’t wait to see what Masashi Kishimoto brings us next! Despite his success, Masashi Kishimoto remains humble and grateful for his journey as a mangaka.

In an interview with Anime News Network, he stated, “I have been blessed with support from those around me, including my editor, staff members, and readers. I am truly grateful.”

Interesting Naruto Facts

  1. A Naruto’s name was derived from the food Narutomaki

Naruto takes his name from a topping for ramen with a pink or red spiral design in the middle, called narutomaki. As with the Naruto whirlpools in the Strait, Narutomaki’s spiral patterns are supposed to represent them.

In addition to eating ramen as a favorite food, Naruto went to Ichiraku Ramen often, where he was treated well as a loyal customer. While he was a child, Naruto was not treated poorly by the Ichiraku Ramen owners, unlike many others in the village.

2. Naruto Has Multiple Voice Actors

There are two Japanese voice actors for Naruto. When Naruto transformed into a female form to trick people, Ema Kogure voiced his “Sexy Technique” version. She has said many young male characters, including Gon Freecs in Hunter X Hunter’s 1999 anime adaptation.

Naruto’s English-dubbed version has more voice actors, however. Maile Flanagan is his average English voice actress. Kate Higgins, Stephanie Sheh, Jeannie Elias, and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn dubbed the English version of his “Sexy Technique” version.

3. Naruto Has A Female Form He Can Transform Into

Using the “Sexy Technique,” Naruto transforms into a beautiful woman. This way, he can play pranks on many men, including Jiraiya, the Third Hokage, and many others. Naruto’s chest, waistline, and overall figure receive special attention during the transformation.

Naruto also had much longer hair thanks to this trick, which he wore in two long pigtails. Women, however, are entirely unaffected by this trick.

To specifically appeal to women and trick them, Naruto devised the “Sexy: Boy On Boy Technique.”
