A Quick Note Before You Post
CartoonVibe runs on conversation. Whether you are correcting a detail about an old Saturday-morning show, sharing a memory, or arguing about the best season of something, your comments make the site better.
To keep things fair for our readers, we do moderate the comment threads. Please be patient, because it may take a little time for your comment to post.
This page explains how the comment section works and what we ask of everyone who joins in. The short version: be kind, stay on topic, and know that a real person reads everything before it goes live.
Every Comment Is Read Before It Appears
We moderate the comment section by hand. Every comment you submit sits in a queue and waits for approval before it shows up on the page. Nothing publishes automatically.
This is a deliberate choice. Manual approval keeps spam out, protects the discussion from bad actors, and gives us a chance to catch anything that slips past the filters. It also means your comment will not show up the instant you hit submit.
- Approval usually happens within a day, and often much sooner.
- There is no need to post twice if your comment does not appear right away. It is almost certainly still in the queue.
- Once your first comment is approved, later ones may still be held for a quick review.
Please be patient with the wait. One person handles the site, so comments get read in batches rather than around the clock.
What We Love to See
Good comments come in a lot of forms, and none of them are complicated. We are always happy to approve comments that:
- Add something to the discussion, whether that is a fact, a memory, or a different take.
- Stay roughly on topic for the post you are replying to.
- Correct a mistake politely. If we got a date or a name wrong, tell us. We would rather fix it than leave it.
- Disagree with respect. You do not have to love a show we praised, and you are welcome to say so.
Strong opinions are fine here. Rudeness aimed at other readers is not.
What Gets Removed
A comment will not be approved, or may be taken down later, if it does any of the following:
- Sells something, links to unrelated sites, or reads like spam.
- Attacks, harasses, or insults another commenter.
- Uses slurs, hate speech, or content that targets people for who they are.
- Wanders far off topic or exists only to start a fight.
- Includes heavy profanity, threats, or anything unlawful.
- Reveals private information about yourself or anyone else.
We would rather approve than reject, so most comments sail straight through. The list above simply keeps the section welcoming for everyone else reading along.
A Few Housekeeping Notes
The comment form asks for a name and an email address. Your email is never published and never shared. It only helps us tell regular readers apart and reach you if we ever need to.
We also reserve the right to edit lightly for clarity, or to remove any comment at our discretion. That authority gets used sparingly, and only in the spirit of keeping the conversation friendly.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for taking part.
The comment section is one of the best parts of running this place.
