Disenchantment Season 5 Episodes
Netflix’s Disenchantment has already wowed us with an impressive run of 40 episodes across its journey, with each season neatly parcelled into 10 thrilling chapters.
Now, wouldn’t it be delightful if Season 5 followed suit? Intriguingly, Disenchantment’s seasons are cleverly structured into dual parts, each featuring a cool 20 episodes. In its inception, the show launched with a 20-episode duo, constituting parts 1 and 2, followed by another enticing batch of 20 episodes unfolding parts 3 and 4.
And the magic doesn’t stop there! If Season 5 gets the green light, fans can start revving their excitement engines for a potential Season 6 hot on its heels.
During a candid chat with Skwigly in February 2021, Josh Weinstein pulled back the curtain on the grand vision he shares with Matt Groening.
They’ve mapped out Seasons 4 through 6 as the grand finale of this animated saga. Their mission? To weave the narrative threads together into a grand tapestry that delivers a satisfying and spellbinding conclusion to the show.
Titan Books Collects Unpublished Disenchantment Comics
The closure of Bongo Comics in 2018, masterminded by the brilliant Matt Groening and primarily known for their Simpsons and Futurama prints, sent reverberations through the comic world.
Not to forget, they also offered a helping hand to Stephen Hillenburg in the production of the Spongebob Comics series. Many failed to realize the magnitude of this loss, and the unique vacuum left by this publisher that always put creativity over profit.
Contrast this with the ongoing Hollywood writer’s strike, and the criticism over studio system policies, it’s quite telling that no ex-employee of Bongo has ever voiced discontent. An oasis in a desert of profit-driven publishers, Bongo was a testament to Groening’s commitment to writers.
A year later, Groening’s new series “Disenchantment” started to charm Netflix subscribers. Yet, the absence of Bongo meant a potential void for any comic adaptations of this fresh animation. But Groening, undeterred by the setback, financed the production of two issues.
Disenchantment Comics
These precious pieces made their grand debut at the San Diego Comic-Con under a new publishing label, “Bapper Books”. However, they were the only comics to ever grace the Bapper name, leaving a cloud of mystery over the remaining 500+ pages of the Disenchantment comic that were created.
At long last, someone’s willing to bring these hidden treasures to the limelight. Titan Books has stepped up to release the previously hidden material in two volumes titled “Disenchantment: Untold Tales.”
A tantalizing sneak peek of six pages has been made public by Titan to attest to the comic’s reality. You can feast your eyes on these below. The exciting release of the first volume is slated for September. What a treat for comic enthusiasts and Groening fans alike!
