I particularly enjoyed scenes from the first episode, such as the Titans descending from the sky and the Titan shifters transforming.
What was the first anime made by MAPPA?
Studio MAPPA initially formed to aid the troubled production of Japanese director Sunao Katabuchi’s movie, In This Corner of the World, at Madhouse. However, even with MAPPA’s support, the movie’s release didn’t happen until five years post the studio’s establishment.
Meanwhile, MAPPA engaged in other projects. Their first completed production was an anime adaptation of Yuki Kodama’s manga, Kids on the Slope, under the direction of Shinichiro Watanabe, the genius behind the hit anime series and movie, Cowboy Bebop.
